- 1) I replaced my 1581 drive mechanism with one found in an A1010 (Amiga
- drive). The only problem was that the flat-cable had to be twisted 180
- dergrees to fit in the socket in the A1010. The original cable was not
- long enough, so I had to replace it with another one. It has been OK for
- 5 years now.
- However, I don't know if the drive mechanism in the A1010 is a standard
- DD drive mechanism.
