  23. 1) I replaced my 1581 drive mechanism with one found in an A1010 (Amiga 
  24. drive). The only problem was that the flat-cable had to be twisted 180 
  25. dergrees to fit in the socket in the A1010. The original cable was not 
  26. long enough, so I had to replace it with another one. It has been OK for 
  27. 5 years now.
  28. However, I don't know if the drive mechanism in the A1010 is a standard 
  29. DD drive mechanism.
